Welcome
Hostel life is one of the most enjoyable time in one's life and this is no exception as far as Pampa is concerned. This was my first experience in hostel and by no means it was mean. I was much tensed initially about the social life here but the get together we had on the very second day (Friendship day) made me feel better. It took a few weeks for me to acclimate and in the process made quiet a good number of friends. We had a good population of maggus but rest of us kept the hostel alive and buzzing with activities and celebrations. Most exciting thing is to watch a cricket match in our Tv room. Atmosphere used to be absolutely electrifying. Conversations, analysis and discussions will be healthy. Debates on sachin v/s dada , nadal v/s federer , MANU v/s Liverpool (list goes on) made matches more interesting. Pampa is one among the four hostels established in 2006. It is a six storied building providing accommodation for around 350 students. It was named after the River pampa which is the third longest river in the South Indian state of Kerala and the longest river in the erstwhile princely state of Travancore. Sabarimala temple dedicated to lord Ayyapapa is located on the banks of the river Pampa. In its first year pampa hostel had around 200 M.Tech students, then in the second year it had a good blend of M.Tech, B.Tech and Management students which made the hostel more lively. .
